Presentation of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade

Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade

On Monday 5th July 2021, we were formally presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade by the official representative of the Queen, Nigel Atkinson Esq, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire.

Presenting the award, Mr Atkinson commented: “It has been my pleasure to visit Tonic Analytics here at Southampton Science Park today. It is clear to me that this company’s innovative approach to high quality data analytics is making quite an impact and that the company is a shining example of the best of British business around the world. It is also good to see an Employee Ownership Trust in action whereby every team member is engaged and rewarded for his or her efforts. I look forward to hearing of Tonic Analytics future successes.”

Andy Dollin, Chief Operating Officer, expressed his gratitude to the Lord Lieutenant for his attendance. He said: “It has been an honour to welcome you here today, and for us to have an opportunity to showcase our work to you and our other esteemed guests.

“This Queen’s Award represents a major milestone for us. After first coming to Southampton Science Park as a start-up on the Catalyst business acceleration programme, we have seen our technology and services used by customers around the world, gained ISO accreditations and transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust. This award recognises our achievements to date and positions us for further growth in a post-Brexit, post-pandemic world. I know I speak on behalf of us all when I say that we look forward to extending our reach and capabilities in the years to come.”

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards to recognise and celebrate business excellence in the UK. Her Majesty the Queen personally approves the winners which are announced by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
